Identity

The Prompt School identity

The mark, the palette, the type scale and the voice — with the live tokens the site renders from.

One mark, one typeface, one gradient, one voice. This page is the reference — every value here is the live token the site actually renders from, not a screenshot of an intention.

The mark

A prompt caret and a cursor

Every person who has opened a terminal or a chat box already reads >_ as “type here”. It needs no explanation, survives 16 pixels, and belongs to the subject rather than to a stock icon set.

Rules. Keep clear space of at least one caret-width on every side. Never stretch, rotate, add a drop shadow, or place the mark on a busy photograph. On colour, use the monochrome version — never the gradient tile on another gradient.

Colour

A cool spectrum on near-black

The gradient runs cyan → indigo → fuchsia and is used for emphasis, never for body text. Silver carries the reading; white is reserved for what matters most.

Signal cyan --spark #22d3ee

Links, accents, the leading edge of the field.

Core indigo --core #6366f1

Primary actions, focus rings, the middle of the gradient.

Pulse fuchsia --pulse #c026d3

The far end of the gradient. Emphasis, sparingly.

Mint --mint #34d399

Confirmation, free, savings. Never decorative.

Ink --ink #f5f6f8

Headings and the text that must be read.

Silver --ink-2 #b7bcc9

Body copy. Most words on the site are this colour.

Surface --surface #0e0e13

Cards, one step above the page.

Base --bg #07070a

The page itself. Near-black, never pure black.

Type

One family, five roles

Inter throughout. Roles are referenced by name, never by pixel value, which is what keeps 28 pages consistent. Figures that get compared are tabular.

RoleTokenSizeWeightUse
Display--t-538 → 82px850Hero headlines only. One per page.
Heading--t-430 → 46px850Section titles.

Voice

How this brand is allowed to speak

The tone is the product. These are constraints, not preferences.

Say the number or say nothing

Every figure is computed or sourced. If it cannot be, the sentence gets rewritten rather than softened with "up to" or "as much as".

Concede the trade-off

Where a competitor is better, say so by name. Where a course is not worth buying, say that too. Credibility is the whole product.

Plain over clever

Short declaratives. Concrete nouns. No "unlock", "supercharge", "master", "secrets", "game-changer", or exclamation marks.

Written for the ear

Course narration is spoken language: second person, warm, direct. Read it aloud before shipping it.

Never promise outcomes

No income, job, or hours-saved claims. State what the learner will be able to do, which is checkable.

The field

The background is the subject

The layer behind every page is a live token grid: activations fire and propagate, and an inference sweep passes down it the way a forward pass moves through a sequence. It is the thing the courses teach, used as the surface — held at 50% so it never competes with text, and reduced to a single still frame for anyone who asks for less motion.
